Visists to Sarana can be arranged by appointment only. Driving directions: Coming from the south (Dubbo or Mendooran or Binnaway) The Newell highway goes straight into the middle of the town. Go through the shops until you get to a roundabout with a stone clock tower in it. Turn left at the roundabout (following the brown "Warrumbungle National Park" sign) and go past Woolworths. After another few hundred metres turn right following another brown NP sign. A few hundred metres after that you will see a third brown sign for a left turn. You are now on our road (Timor Rd) so set your trip meter to zero. Around the 9km mark you will go past a motel, then cross the Castlereagh River. The driveway gate is about a one kilometre up the hill from there on the right, just past a yellow road bend sign. By the gate there is a wooden letter box and sign "Sarana". Coming from the north (Narrabri or Gunnedah) The Newell highway goes straight into the middle of the town. Go through the shops until you get to a roundabout with a stone clock tower in it.
